In The Day of the Jackal (1973), The Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, despite an earlier generation model.. This would have been an outstanding cat-and-mouse chase if the female lead would have been anybody else, literally anybody else. The way she portrays the detective, makes the viewer, at least this one, to not want to root for her.

She comes off as conniving, cold, know-it-all, selfish woman

Yes, she is with the police, and what she does is right, but how she does it, its awful! I do not like her, nor do I care for her.Because of this, I feel like a lot of us that are watching the show will root for the Jackal. He is all that she is not, even though he is a killer.

And I know I'm not the only one

I don't want her to succeed in her mission and I don't want the Jackal to be caught. I don't think this is the way it should be, but its the way I feel. By the looks of it, she does get close to him.

And its a shame, because he is Amazing in this!
